is this a false alarm? .. or the sccaarrry truth?

personally ... 99% of fowarded mass emails i get are spam ... or chain messages ... and part of me says this is one of them ... then again ... this could very well be the truth ... and if it is .. its scary.

A few weeks ago, in a movie theatre, a person felt something poking from her seat. When she got up to see what it was, she found a needle sticking out of the seat with a note attached saying "You have just been infected by HIV". The Disease Control Center (in Paris) reports many similar events in many other cities recently. All tested needles were HIV Positive. The Center also reported that needles have been found in cash dispensers at public banking machines. We ask
everyone to use extreme caution when faced with this kind of situation. All public chairs/seats should be inspected with vigilance and caution before use. A careful visual inspection should be enough. In addition, they ask that each of you pass this message along to all members of your family and your friends of the potential danger.

Recently, one doctor has narrated a somewhat similar instance that appened to one of his patients at the Priya Cinema in Delhi. A young girl, engaged and about to be married in a
couple of months, was pricked while the movie was going on. The tag with the needle had the message " Welcome to the World of HIV". Though the doctors told her family that it takes
about 6 months before the virus grows strong enough to start damaging the system and a healthy victim could survive about 5-6 years, the girl died in 4 months, perhaps more because of
the "Shock thought". We all have to be careful at public places, rest God help! Just think about saving a life by forwarding this message. Please, take a few seconds of your time to pass along.

one thing i noticed about this message .. is the spanish "No me ames, que comprendo la mentira que seri Si tu amor no merezco, no me ames mas qudate otro da" at the end ... it appears to be lysics of one of Jennifer Lopez's songs ... and its rather perculiar that "S. Dinesh Gopinath" the " I.A.S, Director of Medical & Research Div, Chennai." would end off a sombre warning with lyrics the lyrics of a spanish song by a popular pop singer ... that is if this "S. Dinesh Gopinath," does exist ...

(pardon my ignorance if he does exist .. .i couldn't find any website that verifies that he exists and is the I.A.S, Director of Medical & Research Div, Chennai)

it just amazes me ... how little things can sometimes tick people off ALOT ... not that i can claim to have always had a mild temperment or been as cool as a cucumber or anything like that ... but hey ... at least i can keep my cool most of the time now =)

amazed at how some people can just throw things at people or man-handle them (even though the person who is being man-handles is alot stronger than the person trying to 'attack' him) ... then yelling unreasonably at a calm composed person ... accusing him of gossiping? ... when he wasn't even speaking to her or about her? .... bummer isn't it? ...

anyways ... if u ever read this Benjamin ... thanks for taking control and not letting it go way outta control ... no idea what u told her after i left .. but well .. thanks =)

i have resolved ...

to

1) quit utopia after this age is over

2) spend at least an hour in the gym after PE lessons or 2 hours in the sch gym(or its equivalent) a week ..(when the time-table allows)

3) do sit-ups and leg-raises every-other-day(or at least 3x a week)

4) spend more time studying, doing tutorials and tys questions

5) find a chem tutor

6) NOT play pc-games till AFTER my A-levels (put this down again cos i find myself tempted to install a game and play it .. and waste my time away)

7) go for a photography course (going for a basic photography course on next sunday =) ), improve my photography skills and HOLD OFF the "BUY BUY BUY" fever and NOT get a dslr till after the A levels

8) NOT give my blog address away like i did with my previous blog ... but give it only to people who ask for it ...

9) err ... spend less time surfing clubsnap and dpreview ...

10) build better bonds and friendships with my cell-group-ers and co-cell-group leaders ...and of course grow closer to christ

i guess thats about it ... for now ... hope i don't have to add anymore ... and hope that i can accomplish em all this year ... =)

first 'official' day of the holidays ....

well .. yesterday was the first 'official' day of school holidays ... spent the day at church =P ... was already pretty tired from friday ... left right after the youth leader's meeting ... of course i had to stop home to pick up the lcd projector ... laptop , vid-cam and food =/ ...

the party ... well ... haha ... was pretty good ... i guess ... there really arn't that many bad parties are there? had fun ... didn't eat much .. (cos i wasn't sure what was or wasn't vegetarian ...) ... mixed the 'forfeit' drink =P *muahahahah*

a certain person was 'high' ... very 'high' infact ... lolz ... i'll leave it at that =P ... got around 50 minutes of really really crappy party-video footage :S ..

oh yeah ... for anyone who might be dieing to know whats in the forfeit drink ... i'll list it below ...

full-cream milk
(and the list goes on ...)

yep ... haha .. could have been alot worse ... =P so be happy =)

anyways i hope i'll be able to get the video and photos to the tech guy =P


aftert he party ... went back to church ... haah .. to help with the church cleaning .. didn't have much left to do by the time i got there ... but yeah .. still helped a little =) ... got home ... very tired ... slept almost right after getting home ... other wise i would have blogged last night ... or maybe it would have been this morning =/
